O- Ring is a type of a gasket or a seal in the form of a ring with a circular cross section used to prevent leakage of fluids, This O-ring is made up of Nitrile Rubber (also known as BUNA-N) which is a general purpose copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile. This compound has a relatively high acrylo content, making it exceptionally resistant to petroleum base oils and hydrocarbon fuels over a temperature range of -30°F to +250°F. Nitrile has good mechanical properties when compared with other elastomers and high wear resistance.O-rings acts as an excellent leak barrier and are widely used in medical equipments. O-rings are seated in a groove and subjected to compression between two or more parts thereby creating a seal at the interface. This part is compatible for use in the assemblies of GE's Modulus CD and Modulus SE Anesthesia Delivery systems.
