The Quad Ring is a type pf O-Ring. O-Rings are also known as circular sealing, which is widely used in cylindrical application to prevent leakages. It is used in a place where it is compressed in between two or more surfaces. The O-Ring is generally made of rubber due to the characteristic that it returns to its original shape upon compression. It is used to prevent the fluid or air from escaping when it is compressed between two surfaces. This O-Ring is made up of Viton which is a brand of Fluorocarbon Rubber (FKM), a synthetic rubber and fluoropolymer elastomer commonly used in O-Rings. The material offers excellent resistance to high temperature, fuels, mineral oil, aromatic and organic solvents and chemicals. It is one of the most versatile and widely used as sealing materials. They are usually seated in a groove and compressed between two or more parts, thereby creating a seal at the interface. It is used as washers in PET Discovery RX 128-Slice, XM Seno Advantage, NM Infinia II, UL VOLUSON S8, PET Discovery STE and in many other devices.
