An abrasive is a material, often a mineral, that is used to shape or finish a workpiece through rubbing which leads to part of the workpiece being worn away by friction. This Flexible Abrasive is made up of superior quality Silicon Carbide material which acts as an excellent hand tools for cleaning and polishing metal surfaces, for breaking edges, smoothing away high spots, removing rust, heat marks, tarnish and stains. This product is designed for either manual or mechanical operation, it can be mounted in tool holding fixtures, chucks, or cradles. The rubberized grip and oblong shape along with its medium grit abrasive of this makes it ideal for finishing the Slip Ring Tracks of Zeus Table Encoder Assembly which is used in GE's Lightspeed Computed Tomography Systems.
