The IDD Console Sub-Assembly is used in X-Ray and many other similar medical devices. An Intelligent Digital Device (IDD) control console is meant to accept and transfer inputs to the R and F positioner cabinet and displays the status of the system on the LCD display located on the front panel. The IDD control console essentially gets commands from the HOST based on which it generates the appropriate messages/icons and display them on LCD1 or LCD2 required. It also reads the status of the front panel soft switches, sensors, position control handle, etc., and conveys the same HOST. The IDD Control Console described in this specification is intended for use with the Precision 500D R and F X-Ray system. This system consists of a table or patient positioner, an image system positioner (tower), an intelligent digital device, a positioner control and I/F electronics, and software and electrical devices necessary to internally control and externally interface the various subsystems with the R+F system. The intent of this specification is to define the operator controls located on the Precision Intelligent Digital Device (IDD).
