This Brushless DC fan assembly is used as a high efficiency blower module. This fan assembly includes a centrifugal type fan used for moving air in a direction at an angle to the incoming fluid. This centrifugal fans contain a ducted housing to direct outgoing air in a specific direction or across a heat sink. The fan use the kinetic energy of the impellers to increase the volume of the air stream, which in turn moves against the resistance caused by ducts, dampers and other components. Centrifugal fans displace air radially, changing the direction (typically by 90°) of the airflow. The Brushless DC motor of the fan makes it sturdy, quiet, reliable, and enables it to be operated over a wide range of conditions. This fan has a energy managing variable speed drive integrated inside it which assists in controlling the motor speed in response to varying process demands. The fan assembly supports dual frequency (50/60 Hz) power supply and provides a speed of up to 3250 revolution per minute. This fan assembly is compatible for use in the PET Acquisition and Reconstruction Computer Dayto- BladeCenter in GE's PET/CT Systems.
