This Lower Keyboard panel is a user interaction device with several sub devices. It includes an alphanumeric keyboard, an application specific configuration of buttons, slide pots, rotary encoders, and joy stick type controllers and a TrackBall. The white (GEHC N9) keyboard is made of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (Starex NH-0825 S) material, has an Universal Serial Bus (USB) 2.0 interface and a 2 inch removable trackball. All lower keyboard BT16 parts are installed into lower and upper plastic covers with integrated handles and probe holders. Ergonomically designed,the keyboard is is properly labeled and backlit so it operates easily in low light situations. It is considered a Field Replacement Unit (FRU) and can be removed from the top of the keyboard panel. This Lower Keyboard BT16 can be used with Voluson S8 and Voluson S6 Ultrasound Systems.
