An Ultrasound Transducer also called a probe, produces sound waves that bounce off body tissues and make echoes. Once it receives the echoes, it sends them to a computer that creates an image called a Sonogram. The 4V-D is an external transthoracic cardiac ultrasound probe for 4D (real time) imaging. Cardiac 4D imaging with this probe allows more accurate diagnosis than conventional 2D imaging thanks to volume acquisition, with minimal tradeoffs regarding image quality. The probe may reduce the duration of exams and improve workflow. It is a 2640 element transducer with ITT Cannon DL-408 connector. The design has been made with patient and user comfort in mind, to help reduce stress without compromising diagnostic performance. It also provides outstanding image capability with ergonomic benefits. This probe is compatible to be used with Vivid E9 and Vivid E95 Ultrasound systems. 5488470-R
