The Roll Pin secures the position of mechanical parts in an assembly. It has a body diameter larger than the hole diameter and a longitudinal hollow cylindrical slit structure. The structure allows compression during insertion. This special purpose role pin is used for the spring extension of end cap assembly in incubators/warmers. The roll pin is inserted into the hole in the end cap, which helps to engage both the walls and is flush to outer surfaces. One end of the spring is hooked into the roll pin. It is used to engage the spring extension with both walls of endcap outer surface. The pin is made up of stainless steel material, which contains 10.5 percent chromium in its composition. The presence of this chromium helps to provide good corrosive resistance as well as excellent toughness to the material. The pin comes as a part of MIC Giraffe™ OmniBed, ARC Aisys, Modular and MIC - Other Infant Care.
