The Washer - Flat 13.5 ID 25.4 OD 2.29 Thick Stainless Type 316 is a thin plate with a hole that is normally used to distribute the load of a threaded fastener, such as a bolt or nut. The flat washers are used to displace the load of a fastener head or nut on a thread joint. They also act as spacers. This part is specially used in anesthesia machine for fastening the components together. It is made of type 316 stainless steel, which has excellent resistance to chemicals and salt water. This may act as a mild magnetic washer, which also prevents the fasteners from corrosion. The washer can get obtain friction from the surface it is getting fastened due to its good surface finish.
