A Hex Socket Head Cap Screw is a six-sided bolt with a trimmed hex head and a washer face on the bearing surface. A hex head cap screw is made of stainless steel which is a iron based alloy. It contains a minimum of chromium around 10.5%. The presence of chromium provides corrosive resistance to the stainless steel and helps it to resist scaling at elevated temperatures. Stainless steel also maintain its excellent toughness. By considering all of the properties of stainless steel, it is often the chosen material to use for socket head cap screws for this particular application. This screw is being used in many different anesthesia machines in the medical field such as Aespire 7900, Aestiva MRI, Aespire View, Avance CS2, ARC Aestiva 7100, ARC ADU and ARC Aespire View, among others.
