The Interface adapter (pn 420915-083) is programmed specifically to work with a GE Datex Ohmeda Engstrom, Aisys, Avance; Carestation 600 series and Carescape R860. There are specific settings which must be made on the device in order for it to send information to the monitor. These settings do not affect the functionality of the ventilator. The settings need only to be made once and should be done by the biomedical department. The cabling is to be connected between interface adapter and one of the eight interface device serial ports. The interface device serial port LED remains steady green after the connection is being made. The GE product is an innovation and technology which fits well into versatile customer needs.
