The Compression Springs are open coil helical springs that increases resistance against axially applied pressure. Compression springs also acts as an energy storage device. The energy storage capacity depends on number of turns in the coil, which are usually placed in uniform intervals. The springs are linear and have the same rate per Inch throughout the entire spring.
