A washer is a circular disk, which has a hole in center used to displace the load of a fastener. The large outside diameter of flat washers helps distribute the force to prevent surface damage and to improve connection. This washer is made up of stainless steel, which are iron-based alloys has minimum of chromium around 10.5% in its composition. The presence of chromium offers corrosion resistance to stainless steel and helps to resist scaling at elevated temperatures. It also maintains excellent toughness, which makes it free from external coating or any other corrosion protection to remain bright and rust free even after decades of use.
